Quiet Primary Activities

Activity in Indonesia primary market was quite during this month. There was no new bond released in the last 5 weeks. The last issuance was on 10 July. Last month, we saw 5 issuers with 14 bonds issued worth IDR 9.3 trillion in total. Meanwhile, this month’s primary market activities were filled up only by government bonds issuance namely FR0073 and PBS009. It is reported that only PT Adira Dinamika Finance, Tbk (ADMF:IJ) which has planned to issue corporate bond this month, expected to be released on 25 August 2015 with issuance target of IDR1.5 trillion. Quiet primary activities this month was partly due to unfavorable market condition in line with the upward trend in the government bonds yield causing a widening credit spreads. We saw some issuers notably banks and multi-finance company delaying bonds issuance and waiting for more favorable debt market condition.
