Solid Indonesia Secondary Market Activities

Indonesia credit market transaction in last week trading touched IDR3,6 trillion, mostly short tenured (1-3 year) with a volume reaching IDR3,1 trillion or 86% of total market transaction last week. Looking at trading frequency, short tenured bonds (1-3 year) received higher trading frequency of 244x as compared to 35x and 15x in medium (5-7 year) and long tenured bonds (>7 year) respectively. Meanwhile, according to the ratings, AAA rated bonds still dominated last week trading with Rp1.46 billion volume posted, or 40% of the total transaction. Higher appetite was seen in short tenured bonds whereas Eximbank 6.4% 2016, Modernland Tbk (MDLN:IJ) 12% 2018 and TAFS 9.25% 2018 were registered as top active transacted bonds with volume reaching IDR 440 billion, IDR297 billion and IDR 296 billion, respectively.
