Vale Indonesia Nickel in Matte Production Declines 6% YoY

Vale Indonesia, Tbk (INCO:IJ)’ production fell to 18,893 metric tonnes in 2Q18 from 20,107 tonnes in 2Q17. Decline in production was due to a delay in some planned maintenance activities to April from previously scheduled in March. Meanwhile, output was 17,141 tonnes in 1Q18. However, the company is still confident to meet FY18 production target of approximately 77,000 tonnes.
